Leave it to "Tooooonrss"...... LOL. Three pages and 81 posts later....
? what is there to discuss or make rules about.
STOCK is STOCK is STOCK.... no rules needed, STOCK is STOCK.
Seriously STOCK = how it came from the factory in your STOCK car. No changes, upgrades or anything else, STOCK.................... WOW...

The first rule of "Stock Blocks" is......You DO NOT talk about "Stock Blocks"!!!! :pat: :biglaugh:
Where do I begin with this one???? hahaha.
The last "little chat" I had with a "stockish" block claimer admitted to not having balance shafts. :pat: Hence = NOT STOCK!!!
The whole topic is nothing but BS and it's honestly embarrassing to read.
No wonder I don't go far off this board anymore to read this e-sanity. haha.
Funny post though. Worth a kick. :buttkick:

I saw this earlier today. It gave me a good laugh as well. It seems everyone has some type of record.

I'll just keep pulling quotes because this is funny. haha.
"Im pretty sure its been clearified that the stock block holder is the factory rotating assembly. For those that dont know what that is it consists of Block, crank, rods, and pistons. If those are not messed with and as is from the factory or back to factory specs then its eligible for the stock block record."
I guess im one that "don't know" because I thought balance shafts were a part of the "factory rotating assembly". :dontknow:

It's funny how nobody wants to accept that balance shafts are part of a "stock block". Everyone trying to justify it's OK to remove them and claim a "meaningless record", what a joke.
Deleting parts from a "stock block" no longer makes it a "stock block", period.
For ref... other meaningless records.
1) Stock ECU record, I guess after it has been re-flashed it's still "stock" LOL
2) Holset turbo records, leave them on the tractors and trucks, where they belong.
I could go on and on, but won't. Perhaps you guys can add your favorite "meaningless record"....

Don't forget that when you're the apparent "record holder", you can make the rules of the "record". :dunno:
And in the event that you lose the "record", you can fall back to another "record".... like going from...... Quickest to Fastest to First....etc...etc.
Also funny how all of these "record" cars also have next to NO SAFETY EQUIPMENT.
Or do you ever hear of them running in actual events.
What's the point then? It is just to be an internet message board glory whore? :dunno: haha.
When I think of someone going for a "stock block or holset" "record" (as examples LOL) I think of someone doing it on a "budget". Maybe they couldn't afford to build a block or buy a good turbo. :dunno: Then you hear much later that those cars have a "DSM Dream Parts List". Parts like dogboxes, twin discs, Stage 85 heads, etc...etc. haha.
So it definately wasn't for a "budget" reason.
It's a shame that people feel the need to claim this stuff. But as long as they do, im going to sit back and laugh at it all.
Hell....maybe i'll dig up some old "stock block" next year and get in on the action. :ugh2:
