Ok, so I'm hoping to put the talon on the road this tuesday. I was just wondering if I should hold off on it and fix/replace anything before I put it on the road? I'm new to these cars so any suggestions would help. I'm going to do a compression test on it when I get it home (it's at work right now), the oil has been changed, has good enough tires for winter etc. Anything I should be worried about or have to replace/fix before I put it on the road?

Thanks guys,

Greg.

I would change the gearbox oil, transfercase oil and rear end oil. These are usally neglected by most owners.
Other than that just check all the regular stuff, like any other car.
They are older cars now, if your going to drive it in the winter, some rustproofing would help the underside and suspension bushings.

Ok thanks. The guy said that he had replaced the transmission and transfer case and put in some updated oil in the tcase. I'm not sure what he meant by that but I might just end up changing all those fluids anyway.

Thanks again.
