uploading pics to albums

Is anyone having problems uploading pics to albums? Possibly getting a "Database Error"? I know one person is. I just uploaded one myself and it worked fine.
Give me some feeback guys so we can get this fixed if need be.

Im talking about uploading to albums. Those have to come from your computer.

Well, I just talked to Nate T. and it works for him.
Chris (inspector111)...if you read this, maybe it was a problem on your end.
Other than that, I don't know what to say unless someone else has more imput.

Hey Chris, Hopw large are the images that you are trying to upload? resalution and mb? They could be to large.

Chris post up some details as to what you were doing before you got or get the error.
I'm assuming by the lack of response here majority of people aren't experiencing any issues.. which is good to hear for me at least so I dont have to spend hours debugging the problem lol..

We need to know things like
file type
file size
original image size

ect...

I think steve posted once about a issue with uploading to the album but figured it out.. I think he was trying to use a incompatible file type or something... cant remember.

also if you can get a screen shot of the database error when it occurs then that would help as well.

I am getting the database error as well. I'll do my best to list everything. File type is JPG. File size is 998 KB 2048 x 1536. That's all I can see from it. Today I tried to upload some pictures just because it seems to be a hot topic. I tried loading a single picture up. It worked..... tried to do all 6 or 8 whatever it allows in a single shot. I got the error again. I went back to trying to upload one at a time. Now I'm back to getting this error everytime. I'll try and post a screenshot. I am also loading from m y computer, not photobucket. Hope this helps

in the uploading box area do all you guys have the same requirements?

Pictures Remaining 59
Maximum File Size per Picture 97.7 KB
Maximum Picture Dimensions 600 by 600 Pixels
Pictures will be automatically resized to fit within these constraints if possible. However, you may receive better results by doing it manually.

I may have to look into this then.. what might be happening is your files sizes are to large.. inwhich case I'll increase the limit if that is the problem.

I just saw what must be the one new pic Budlow uploaded go across the top of the board. It is HUGE when you click on it. haha. Nick, did you increase the limits? Other weird thing is....It shows Budlows album as having uploaded "0" pics. :werd: Even though he clearly has one up.

I noticed it said uploaded 0 pictures also. I'm really new with putting pics on forums. Is there a way on my end to decrease the size of the photo before I load it up? Also is there a standard size i should use so when your looking at my album you don't have to scroll left/right or up/down to see my whole picture?

Ok, so from what I understand the pictures I am trying to upload are way to big. I talked to a buddy of mine and he told me to download photoshop and with that program i can make my pictures different height/width. Is there an easier way to change the size or is this the best solution? I've been without an avatar for way to long now!

Try Photobucket. Create a free account, download pics to there, then resize. If you want to upload an avatar.....just try it from some pic on your computer. That should work. It's completely different settings then uploading pics to albums.

Ya pat. the pictures were to big. I had to put them on photo bucket like you said and make them smaller. Took some time but I'm glad it worked.
