DSM Funny/Stupid ongoing...

This is a "sticky" ongoing, continuous thread of some of the Funny/Stupid things we find out there that people are doing to there DSMs.

Please add to this at any time to keep the "outrageously bazaar" and "bust a gut" laughs going.
*no photoshop type pics, just the real stuff is funny enough.

Here's one I found and most of you will know where to go to find more info on it.

This one is called "My new meth kit".

A hopefull Time Attack DSM is adding a meth kit to his car/setup.

Now, im thinking by the pink tag on it that he's going to put a hitch on his DSM and toe this behind his car while he's turning hot laps. :haha:
Either that or he's going to be the fastest vehicle ever to take care of the grass around the track and try to set a record for killing weeds the quickest. :vroam:
Im just hoping he passes tech with that "light duty" tank mounted where ever on his car and hopefully nobody sees the Princess Auto sticker on it. :biglaugh:

Funny, funny, funny.... Princess Auto/DSM dept. Home Depot has a DSM section for intake pipes. So I guess Princess Auto should get in on it too.

I see one a while ago, some dumb ass trying and asking for help to grind down and file a 23 spline shaft to fit a 22 spline transfercase. :moon:

Why risk your life to save some cash. Why not just do it right? Its not even like a fuel cell is outrageously priced. Plus over time wont meth eat that thing? I dont know about it so its beyond me, but I would assume you should put fuel in a proper fuel tank.

Some people just dont have a clue.... they drop big cash on fancy brakes, 2 grand or more on advans and then skimp on this... Whatever, one day he or she will learn.

"Well, I've made the decision to do an Ebay project on my car.

Aside from major engine components, most if not all boltons are going to be Ebay. I've always wanted to do one of these, and since I don't plan on keeping the 7 bolt in the car, and until I get down to Southern Ontario permenantly (doesn't look like anytime soon) for racing, I'm going to be doing Ebay for everything.

I want to test these components I've heard so many stories about failing/succeeding in the market for myself. Look forward in the coming months for some upcoming information.

Here's a short list of what I will be testing:

Manifolds/O2 Housing/Exhaust
Intercooler and Pipes
Turbocharger
Wastegate and Blow Off Valve
Radiator
Intake

Lets see what these Ebay Bolt-ons REALLY have to offer.

Safety and measuring equipment will not be tested (Brakes, Gauges etc).

Wait till 2010 when I do Project Canadian Tire/Walmart Cavalier."

Its like the parts are tested already and proven to fail. Thats why you have forums where people have commented over the years on the shit they bought that fell apart wasting their money.

Prediction here...

Manifolds/O2 Housing/Exhaust ~ cheap so called ss pipe will heat up and crack.
Intercooler and Pipes ~ Can you say Holly massive boost leak batman?
Turbocharger ~ Good by oil seals, have fun when your shitty turbo shots oil through your ebay intercooler and then back into the rest of the your engine.
Wastegate and Blow Off Valve ~ good luck
Radiator ~most of the rads on ebay are oem replacments so why not buy from parts source or another dealer... if your going aftermarket, with the dollar back to shit, you may as well buy from a shop.
