The 4G63 is one the best three engines to ever come out of Japan. Your can modify and tune it to 600 whp and still use it as your every day ride. It will take considerable levels of abuse without failing and leave most cars with more than twice the displacement in its dust. If your looking for the "best built" engines available, then you are in the right place. All our work is carried out "in house" by experienced engine builders, with years of experience to back them up. We don't guess what will work, we know what will work. The foundation of a build is the block, every part of it is checked and examined, machined, bored and rechecked (all machining on our blocks is completed with our custom torque plate). Pistons, rings, rods, fasteners and bearings are all upgraded. Balance shafts are eliminated and oil ways are ported and upgraded. If you cut corners on the block, expect a major failure.
Once you have a strong foundation to build on, then you can create real horsepower and most of that comes from what happens in the head. Its all about fuel, air and spark. You have to get the most from your air flow, this involves a lot of machine work, porting and polishing to the right finish, matching intake and exhaust ports. Interruptions in "Flow" will create back pressure, which will rob you of power. When you have maxed your air flow you have to add an aggressive valve train and cam setup. We only use high quality, proven products. When you want to combine performance with reliability, you have to do it right. Don't let the "parts slingers" on the web tell you that cheap no-name products will perform, they won't. In the long run it is cheaper to do it right the first time, you won't have to constantly upgrade and your ride won't be on the back of a tow truck all the time. Our builds are the result of years of experience and testing. Pushing these motors to extreme HP levels is not something you can learn to do on the web. Our race car Blackbird is used as a "test platform" as much as anything else, providing us with valuable data, that in turn goes into every customer build.
