Along with the many other things we do, motor swaps are another service we offer. This page is just one example of a swap done properly, with attention to every detail. We feel that if your going to do a swap, do it right. It should look as good or better than it would have come from the factory.

Car = 1992 240SX .                

Basic overview of swap.           Remove the KA24DE and install the SR20DET.

Stock SR20DET motor and transmission, with stock GT25 Garrett turbo, stock ECU and SR20 harness.

Competition Clutch, 6 puck Ceramic 2700 lb "stage 4" clutch kit.        Vibrant FMIC  to support 550 hp.

Custom SS intake and intercooler pipes.                                   Turbosmart 38 mm Dual port BOV.

Megan Racing performance motor mounts.                               Custom exhaust and Vibrant mufler.

           

     Before: Stock set-up with the KA24DE motor.                        After: SR20DET installed

      Motor removed, engine bay cleaned and repainted.

     The GT25 Garrett turbo was cleaned, port matched and re-installed.

        Trial fit of the SR20DET and install of the SR20 harness

A Turbosmart dual port BOV (venting to atmosphere) was installed on the turbo side of the intercooler and with the engine mounted in place, a custom set of SS intercooler pipes were fabricated and a FMIC was installed.

           

               With the motor bolted in place all the misc., parts, connections and final details were completed. 

With the swap complete and the car running, future upgrades will be easier with a nice clean swap completed.
